ANDY SNITZER - EPK
2018 Grammy winner Andy Snitzer is widely recognized by his saxophone peers as one of the greatest contemporary jazz saxophonists of his generation. His professional career spans decades, and includes chart topping hits - (seven Sirius/XM #1 singles, eight Billboard top 20s, and the first Gavin smooth jazz #1 ever, from January 1995) - tours with rock/pop legends (Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Sting), and thousands of recording sessions for a who's-who of music royalty (from Aretha Franklin to Jay-Z, George Michael to Lady Gaga). Andy is a dynamic stage performer, standing out from the crowd as a true master of his instrument. In a saxophone world crowded with sameness, Andy Snitzer is the real thing….

Bio
Andy Snitzer has toured and recorded with a who's who of popular music artists. From Eric Clapton to Beck, Aretha Franklin to Jay Z, Tony Bennett to Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones to Phillip Phillips, Andy’s passionate sound and melodic style have earned him a place in the elite professional ranks of contemporary saxophonists.
Andy’s solo recording career dates back to 1994. His breakout release “Ties That Bind” yielded the #1 single “You’ve Changed.”, Still heard regularly on XM/Sirius today, “You’ve Changed” quickly became a Smooth Jazz classic. More recently, Andy’s highly regarded 2011 release “Traveler” forged new stylistic ground. In heavy rotation on XM for more than 18 months (two singles, “Marselle” and “Taking Off”), “Traveler” signaled Andy’s return to the Smooth Jazz foreground. 2013’s the Rhythm provided more radio gold, via “Candy” and “Velvet”, and spent more than a year on the Smooth Jazz charts.
Highly regarded by his peers for his saxophone mastery and passionate performing style, Andy is looking forward to lighting up stages as a featured artist in 2018 and on.
